This full depth inset tapered burner tray is designed to fit a standard chair brick (also commonly referred to as a fire back). Chair bricks are popular in older homes with a class 1 brick chimney, orginally used for burning solid fuel. The tray requires a min. 178mm / 7″ pre-fabricated flue system or conventional brick chimney. It is classed as a Decorative Gas Fire (DGF). The tray produces a lovely full depth flame picture however, as this is an open fronted fire placed within a chair brick (without a modern firebox).
The tray can be specified in Manual Control (Rotary) or Remote Control.

|As with any open fire, a fire guard complying with BS 8423 must be used. Fire guards are intended to protect people from falling into a fire, prevent burns and reduce the risk of injury, particularly to young children and the infirm. In addition it is intended to reduce the risk of fire resulting from clothing and/or other flammable materials coming into contact with, or in proximity to, burning fuel and/or hot surfaces.
